Okay, so I have to wait till the end of June, but I’ve just found out that I can get a laptop for free. I don’t know what spec it is (but it’ll be decent I can guarantee), it will have an American keyboard (so there will probably be some quirks I have to work my way around that I’m not used to), and it will have Win NT 4 (but that’s no bad thing). Basically my uncle has a stash of old one’s in the back of his wardrobe and has kindly offered me one – so as soon as another friend is coming this way (June for the Aldburgh Festival) I can have it.
Yayy!! A novel writing in a coffee shop or under a cherry tree I do go…
