This post has stemmed from an IM conversation with rachel2205, and a discussion we were having about Yorkwriters and writers’ groups in general.
They can be good fun. I remember from when I was at uni, but I need to get back in the circuit so to speak. So I need to get off my backside and find myself an Oxfordwriters group. So that’s what I’m going to do.
PS. If anyone happens to know of any in the Oxford area, give me a yell and tell me!
There’s a group meets not five minutes from my flat and I haven’t got around to going yet !
And it’s not going to five minutes from your flat for much longer… 😉
I’ll probably have to end up trying a few (once I find some!) to find one which I like, and which has a group of similarly minded people. Aghh … similar minded people to me! Where am I going to find them…??
I knew of one that met, and may still meet. It won’t be easy to track it down as most people that I know have left, but I will try if you like.
Daily Information says there is a creative writing group meeting at Borders on Wednesdays at 6.30 – know of that?
There may be other things too – check the list at http://www.dailyinformation.co.uk in what’s on > classes and clubs.
Thanks for this. I did have a quick peek on Daily Info but couldn’t find what you’ve found I’ll check it out…
And yes please to the other one too, if you can?
there’s one in eynsham… might be a bit of a trek from bicester though.
uhm.. just so you know..
Hey. This is necoapreal from ilium_city. This is the account that I use for actual lj posts so since I saw that you added me under the neco name I added you under this one. Figured I’d give you a heads up on who this is though. Later
