Have just played through Gallimaufry – this terms new band piece and the title track to the concert on 27 March (St Michaels Church, Abingdon – if you’re interested – part of the Abingdon Arts Festival). Anyway the point is, it’s not actually that bad – I mean my playing of it, and it’s got some quite hight notes. It seems that I’ve now improved to such a stage that I’m readering, fingering, and actually getting top G on my flute with increasing regularity…

Okay, so it’s a bit loud, but that’s my over breathing, but it’s still an improvement.

I guess that just leaves me with G#, A, Bb, B, and C to go… well, and the improved breathing…
