Hanna lingers in the dimly lit hallway in her sandals – her thick woollen jumper pulled over her bikini. She’s chatting away in Icelandic to the ranger – a young student manning this highland refuge for the summer.
This was the last bit that I wrote last night – I like the beginning, a nice linking scene that juxtaposes with the disagreement between Helen and Ben in the previous scene. What I’m not so keen on is my description of the ‘action’ at the end of the scene. I’m going to have to work on that. In itself it’s not going to be hugely important to the story but it is going to be necessary for the development of Hanna’s story (which has only really been hinted at so far…).
