Why is it that I don’t feel the same sorrow about this, that I would if it was a warehouse of art that I liked? Whatever I feel of Hirst or Emin, shouldn’t I be sad that there work has been lost?

Well, these works are also fairly new, and most of the artists are still alive, right? It’s a tragedy, but it’s not a huge loss, because they have a great body of work that’s available (“great” being a relative term, of course).
Hi, by the way. 🙂
Hi… So you having a good time in NJ? Or are you back now and pining?
I like Emin (though can’t stand Hirst) but many of the artworks in the warehouse were readymades – they can be reproduced in the way that, say, a Caravaggio or a Van Gogh couldn’t be.
