I’m sitting here, in my lounge typing words into my journal, reflecting on the passing of the last 6 years. It seems like yesterday, that in the summer of 1999 I discovered the show on Sunday mornings in Channel 4’s T4 strand (in the days when it was presented by people who actually could string a sentence together), got hooked by it’s smart, witty writing and engaging characters – yeah it was a teen drama, yeah I was older than the intended audience, but hell I was around the same age as the cast! Then, a the end of July, and a week in Bransdale Mill where we discovered that we were all fans. I’m speaking of course of Dawson’s Creek

Dawson Leery has followed series creator Kevin Williamson’s path and created a series within the series called The Creek, which makes it a series within a series that is a art intimitating life imitationg art, imitating life in the way that it always has. The use of juxtaposition of scenes and emotions, and lighting and sound, and use of dialogue continues to inspire me. Maybe one day, I will be Exec Producer of my own show…
