Setting up paper and easils tonight I somehow found myself with a full frontal pose to somehow draw, which was actually very hard when the subject is seated and you somehow have to show the deph of field and perspective in the body without making them look bow-legged. Judge for yourself and see what you think – your comments are of course welcome – I am still, very much, learning.
And so we move onto the male form … and to the medium of charcoal. I like the gripping movement of the right hand in #2 and the left leg and foot in #3 but for completeness, I think perhaps #4 – ‘the thinker’ is my best of the evening. This last one was completed in about ten minutes.
I like the second and the last one. Good job. They actually look like people! More than I can do 😀
I tried to post a comment yesterday, but LJ was behaving oddly.
I am so impressed with your efforts! I can’t even draw a passable stick figure. I’m looking forward to seeing how you develop and improve with this extra practice from the class.
They didn’t seem so bad last night, but this morning when I looked at them in the cold light of day, I just see how wrong I’ve got the proportions! Eughh! Terrible…!
