Went swimming after work today. Got a stitch after 8 lengths again! I think I’m going to have to do some form of warm up exercises? Any suggestions?
Despite this, I still managed to swim 40 lengths in 40 minutes – although I actually did 30 in 30 and half killed myself on the thirtieth – however I rested for 3 minutes and then did the last 10 in 10. Surely that must have done some good the…?!
Stitch? Is that what we’d call a cramp in the US? If so I’d recommend some stretching 😉
Maybe it might also have something to do with your technique. Perhaps you could vary the strokes – you know, one length front crawl, one length breaststroke, etc. Would add variety, if nothing else. 🙂
I can only do breast stroke… 🙁
