Well, when the weekend began I had intended to, whilst spending a goodly amount of time with my new camera, devote lots of time to writing my novel and to making a start on Kelly’s website. I must now take this moment to apologise to cloud_less for failing in that intention, and also to myself, for not writing a single word. What I have done has been unforgivable of me…
…this said, I have greatly enjoyed heading off into the woods in a snowstorm and the bitter cold, and into Oxford a crispest of late winter days to seek out the interesting and the unusual angle on life. In some respect I think that I have achieved this aim. Certainly it was fun trying. And that makes me happy.
No apologies are ever necessary. It’s hardly an urgent task, and besides, I’d much rather that you went and looked at the snow while it was here. The computer will still be there tomorrow 😉
Sadly the snow never settled, although I did have a real The Dark Is Rising moment as I was standing there in the perishing cold in the copiced woodland with the snow falling. All I needed would have been a tramp on the road bearing the sign and some rooks squawking in the trees…
Have you ever read that book?
