Not seriously late, but even so I hope that this isn’t the sign of things to come. Even with my new role as Production Editor, it is going to be my mission to not be one of those people who works all hours. So why today? Well I had electronic graphics training this morning which delayed my normal workload of issues and Online Early, added to some papers I needed to get off to the freelance copy editor for EEN – and thus my problems began…
First three files. BEESed absolutely fine. And then the big one. I thought it wouldn’t when I was busy stripping out the figures and saving it in Word 95 (yes, I know, the latest technology!!) – there was this massive multipart table and I thought, eh up, that won’t BEES. And it didn’t. Not only that it crashed my computer … twice. Ggrrrr…
I’ve got the main article through the BEES auto edit now, including references, but that wretched table is still waiting me tomorrow morning…

And then there was an accident of some sort on The Road of Doom (A34) which delayed my getting home. Still, at least I had The Archers to entertain me…
