My week continues apace to be busy, busy … busy! I seem to find myself juggling so many balls, at times I find it hard to believe that I actually am making progress. I have sent another issue of Ecological Entomology to press, forwarded questions, kept copy moving, fixed bugs and stayed reasonably on top of my work…

…well, there is the small matter of OnlineEarly. I think that possibly the ‘OE’ of the name should stand for OnlineEventually. I keep finding articles lurking on the ftp site since the end of April. Two day turn around? I think there are bigger fish to worry about just now what with the bug that fails to move OE articles out of their little area when issues go live.

I sent out my final KPI (Key Performance Indicator) report today. Not counting BOJ and ZOJ with their online embargos I was able to report on 100% E before P across the board for the first ever time. Thank you and goodnight. I’m getting the hell out of here to the land of the Production Editor before next month’s ones come out.

I skived off wind band tonight. What with being so busy so this week, I needed tonight to get ready for my weekend away (yayy for weekend birthdays!) in the New Forest, and to bake a seriously chocolately cake for work tomorrow. As I crafted Green & Black’s cocoa and chocoate bars and black treacle and a whole jar of Nutella into a thing of calorific goodness I set my computer going on the BBC Three live streaming of the Eurovision Song Contest semi-final. One of my fave’s (and recently discovered actually quite cool) bands, Vanilla Ninja have won through to the final on Saturday – although quite what four guitar playing Estonian girls are doing performing for Switzerland I’m really not so sure…
