In a small way to celebrate various people on my friends list doing the NaNoWriMo Challenge, aapplecatching has given me 45 words of hers (I only asked for 20) to kickstart my own writing project again. These are provided below, to sit here and make me think about how and where to splice them into chapter five…
At the table next to us a man and a woman sat with their elbows on the table, each staring in a different direction, silent. Two young men in football shirts played pool, speaking only to congratulate each other or commiserate over a missed shot.
Last night was Hallowe’een, or All Hallow’s Eve, and I had a fittingly spooky dream. I was in a big rambling house and garden with a group of friends, and there were mischievous fairy folk around too. From what I remember, the moon kept going in and out, and with with every wane, danger came and went. When the moon was out, the garden was unsafe, but when the moon was in I could cross it safely, and for some reason I had to keep on going between the buildings, and crossing the gardens. However when the moon was in there were added dangers in the house. At one point, I am chasing along an upper corridor and throwing myself down a spiral staircase…
It was actually, a really fun dream! Spooky, but enjoyable! *grins*
