1. Bella went to visit Aunty Gemma for the day today, and has come back microshipped and shaven down one side. An awfully large area of shaving considering the small operation performed. Next weekend, if the weather is fine, my little kittens will be introduced to Mr Cat-Flap.

2. I’ve been spending way to much time playing the Robin Hood games. They are evil and addictive and yet I can’t stop playing them – I guess that’s why they are addictive…

3. I have scraped the paint off of the kitchen tiles. A previous owner, after obviously having watched far too many episodes of Changing Rooms decided to paint the tiles blue, and then paint white paint afterwards to mimic the grouting. I’m having some nice oak splashbacks put in around the new sink soon, as well as some other making good, but in the course of this I had to make a decision about what what to do about the tiles. The blue paint comes off really easily, so that’s what I’ve done. Just need to clean up the grouting now…

4. Currently reading Diana Wynne Jone’s latest book (in the Chrestomanci series) The Pinhoe Egg. It’s good, but with the exception of a few of her earlier one’s in the series, the Chrestomanci stories are not her best. Watched the movie version of Howl’s Moving Castle over the weekend. Now that is good.

5. I’ve been thinking about this UK Tuesday thing. It’s an interesting idea, and I think that I might well, try and contribute, however I can’t help thinking that you will get people writing specifically for the occasion. Also, I cannot help think that it might be tempting fate that something will now happen to make it far from an ordinary day much like any other of no particular national significance. What might be more interesting is to set the date retrospectively and ask people to submit what they wrote, unedited (with the usual exception of names and details…), on that day to the mass web log.
