1. One of the very pretty little Oxfordshire villages that I pass through on the way to work is Islip. There’s a little road just round the side of village that alway floods, though not to the level that it’s currently at. Over the last two weeks it’s been rising up steadily and today, coming back through through gorgeous evening light, the water was almost up to the level of the bridge. The river had also burst its banks out the other side and engulfed the road and I’ve never seen it like that before.
2. Had a parcel through the door when I got home. It seems that I have been nominated a BTCV Green Hero Award, for which I get a T-shirt. It’s not clear whether the T-shirt is the award itself, or just what you get for being nominated.
