After the rain, a mostly sunny day, it has been blustery and ‘rain-threatening’. Getting the call early on, that the outdoor concert this afternoon with Abingdon Concert Band was cancelled due to a sodden and sinking park, I was able to do a bit of pruning back of plants in the garden of plants which have grown rampant as a result of the recent rains. Following this, I did a spot of weeding in the ‘vegetable garden’ and harvested 1lb½ of rhubarb…

In full harvesting swing, I took out scissors and string and cut some sprigs of herbs to dry…
…and then photographed some July flowers in the garden of Thomas…
…before settling back to design concert posters for Abingdon Concert Band’s October and December concerts – the latter involving some creative blending of band members into Christmas baubals. Is this really the first mention of Christmas this year?! 😉

Good days! 🙂
