Once Upon a Time in the North

There are some books that you cannot wait for. I needed to go into town anyway and collect some more inserts for my photo albums. It wouldn’t have been right not to buy Philip Pullman’s new book, Once Upon a Time in the North – another companion piece to his His Dark Materials it is the story of how Iorek Brynsson met Lee Scoresby, and it has the most wonderful of woodcut illustrations by John Lawrence.

I’m going to have to interrupt my current reading to devour this novella.
