Okay, the sad tale of William Jefferys gets worse and worse. It seems that his injuries are most likely to have been caused by (illegal since 1953) gin traps. One of Emmaâs colleagues who used to live in Caversfield and walk their dogs have said that they always used to use them to trap rabbits, and sometimes have seen them still set.
The thought of poor William walking along, minding his own business, and getting trapped in one of those things is too horrible to imagine. Itâs horrid, horrid, evilness at its worst.
