Early this morning, after a quick, pre-breakfast dash to Tescos in Buckingham, and a week after one of my dreams was fulfilled, one of Emma’s became a reality too…
Our first two chickens arrived. Amanda brought them over in the back of her Dad’s car together with an arc that she was letting us have. We installed them into the back garden on one of the circles of grass and gave them their first feed. They are tiny, but very beautiful. Miss Guinevere Pettigrew is the bolder of the two and taller and more slender, and Delysia is small and black, and very bantam-ish.
Hopefully in a few months time we will be going into egg-citing [sic] egg production.
