Iâve never had a new kitchen before. Iâve never planned a kitchen before. So I have been very excited about the possibility of having a kitchen â possibly by Christmas. After the disappointment of the way-too-expensive quotation on Saturday (which Iâm sure has to be wrong), I think it has been the prospect of waiting until 8th and then the 22nd November before we can have Nicholas over to plan and properly budget our kitchen has been bothering me. As it is, it is tight but possibly possible that we might have it fitted by Christmas â if we order it soon â but if itâs not till the end of November thereâs no chance.
Anyway, weâve decided for me to see Nick on my own when he comes to visit to do the planning and this means that I can reschedule the appointment to the morning of next Tuesday which is a much, much more positive date. I can now feel that we are making progress…
