âTwas a cold and frosty morn, today. Actually, it was pretty much cold and frosty all day. Even so, after Em got back from veterinary duties in the morning, we headed out for a nice walk on a slippery Brill Hill. It was bracing and sunny and very nice, although the pollution levels sitting over the Oxfordshire plain, meant that visibility (for example, of the Chilterns) was impaired.
With cobwebs well and truly blown away we headed home to put the Christmas lights up on the tree outside and then I set to marzipanning the Christmas cake and finishing up this yearâs letter.
