So, another year, and another of my favourite books get the movie treatment. This time, at least, it does not look as lamentable an attempt as when Hollywood attempted to do Harry Potter on Susan Cooper Dark Is Rising. Julian Fellowes has adapted The Children of Green Knowe books into a film, and it seems to be not so much an adaptation of, as a inspired by, The Children of Green Knowe.
