The Kindle has proved a pretty useful tool for final editing of my novel, The End of All Worlds. I have been able to use it to read the story, afresh, comfortably, whilst marking up changes and corrections using the highlight and note function of it.

What I ended up with, after I culled it from the clippings file (a not altogether unwieldy process discussed earlier in the pages of this journal), was a document of some 53 pages of corrections to make. It is a somewhat time consuming task to go through the novel in Word to make those changes, but effective none the less. What I must remember though, next time I go through this process, is to highlight more than just the words the or is or are, etc…

Helpful? Not.
