On the sixteenth day of advent: exploring the world of the Kindle Fire

There are a few things that you will want to to do with your Kindle Fire once you’ve got it out the box.

The first is nicely summed up in this helpful article:

2. Download and install the file manager app AndroXplorer

3. Download the Dolphin web browser

4. Download the FlashPlayer

By default your Kindle Fire won’t want to install these last two .apk files, but so long as you have already allowed access to installing more apps as described in point 8 of step one here you can do that from finding them in AndroXplorer.

Then install the two .apk files you have downloaded
