So, disappointingly, after the gloriousness of the snow and sunshine of yesterday, today was altogether a greyer day. Still, that was probably a good thing as it made doing jobs a bit easier to bear. Emma headed off early to work, and then, after a leisurely breakfast with the Sunday paper I headed out into the garden to clean out and defrost the bunnies and the chickens. After that I headed into Bicester to buy our Valentine’s Day meal from M&S – their £20 meal deal which looks scrummy-yummy! Emma had taken Ronnie into work with her this morning so picked him up when I went home.
After a spot of lunch, I then set about cleaning the house together with doing a spot of cleaning up of Emma’s laptop (my Mum’s old one) to make it faster. After all of that and a bit of washing, there was just time to get the the lamb hot pot in the oven ready for when Emma got back from work.
So, a busy if productive Sunday…
âNo!â Eleanor lowers her head into her hands.
Ben watches his sister carefully, studying her every move, and expression and tries to figure out where is sister is going with this crazy talk. He turns briefly to Hanna for reassurance.
âYouâre not making any sense, Eleanorââ Ben says.
Driving home from Uncle Alan aunt Auntie Caroline’s this afternoon along the M40, I came through the hill above Princes Risborough, just at the right moment. The sun was setting, and spread out before me was the whole of Oxfordshire bathed in sunset – water colour shades of green, and mave and blue and orange – beautiful…
Grannie, aged 25 (c. 1941). The broach was a present from Grandpa but was lost soon after the photograph was taken.
Have just been for a leisurely wander round Oxford – and even though I had my camera with me I didn’t take any photos. It seemed a bit hot for taking photos – is that possible? Thought about buying a few things but didn’t (good me). Bought something else for someone else (they’ll probably say bad me, but hey…! *grins*) Never mind, they deserve it, and so she better watch her letterbox carefully! (does that sound a bit too much like a threat? I hope not…)
Gonna go and sit in the garden now with a spot of late lunch (if I can find some shade)…
