Well it’s funny you should mention it, but…

As regards the looking at this thread in Mozilla, it’s just the new S2 Component style – can you screen dump it so we can all see?

I shall keep my eye on it… 😉

Now that, esp. with the emoticon, makes me imagine Shepline wandering about with only one eye open, and the other sitting atop a manuscript like a glass paperweight.

Incidentally the background of this thread is (in Mozilla at least) some sort of grey-line mania; rather fetching in fact. Is it intentional?

I know what you mean – on both counts. I think I may leave it for the moment, and see how it works out. At the moment I’m not sure how much contact (if any?) Hanna and Hannah are going to have – at the moment they are occupying two different timelines in the story – save for when those scenes are juxtaposed next to each other…

I shall keep my eye on it… 😉

Personally I would avoid… I mean I replaced Alex with Matt so I wouldnt have “Alex and Arden” everywhere. I dont think you can get away with having such similar names all the way through the novel.

It does make it feel quite real to have Hanna and Hannah – though I guess I would feel it necessary to have the characters recognise this fact, joke about it and give one of them a nickname to avoid the problem.

Thank you! 🙂

Incidentally, the trouble with friends from other novels wandering into situations and being right at home there is that you get this coincidence thing happening with names? Do you think it matters that I’ve got a Hanna and a Hannah?

It could get confusing, but on the other hand, I quite like it that there is a coincidence there – after all it makes it quite real…

What do you think?

Bjäkk nods, “Just in the morning. The group she was with – I gave the tour,” he grins, “You know the aquarium, cathedral, the gruesome stories of bishops beheaded.”

“How was she? Helen?”

“Full of life. Spririted. I think,”

I really like this bit.

Our styles are quite different but I would put it something like:

Bjäkk notices Ben watching, and draws Hanna further into privacy. Ben gazes about the room.

I knew that you would pick up on that line! So? Any better ideas on how to word it (to avoid throwing parts of the body all over the place)?

Tee-hee! 🙂

Tess watches Ben’s observing eyes being flung about the room. She picks them up and starts to juggle with them. Hannah calls out, “On me ‘ead,” and Tara obliges with a gloriously curled punt in her direction.
