Van Halen

“Jump” is the second track on 1984, their final album with the original lineup, released in the same year. Widely available at knock-down prices everywhere, so no excuse not to go out and buy it and help them with their rockin’ lifestyles.

I once bought a used copy on tape for 25 cents from a bookshop in Columbus, Ohio. As soon as my brother and I got back in the car I put it on and we zoomed down the freeway to “Hot for Teacher”. It was a deliciously American moment.

In this instance, Van Halen actually refers to the local estonian rum-like substance: Vana Tallinn, although if you happen to have a copy of Van Halen’s Jump, I know would be interested… 😉
