We missed out on the Central Park experience – too many bad cop movies. I enjoyed New York, but it all felt so unreal. I remember looking across from the Statue of Liberty at Manhattan and feeling that the New York we’d been photographed against at MGM Studios, Florida, was just as real. The New York skyline has been the backdrop to so many of our dreams, so that when we see it we feel that we’re still in that fairyland.

Like the sound of your coat and shirt – are you SURE you’re not a Taurus, (not that I believe in all that) because you do seem to enjoy the sensual things.
I adore suede, velvet, cashmere, silk crepe de chine and all that’s soft and snuggly and rich and cuddly – I won’t wear clothes that don’t feel right. However, although I enjoy the luxurious, I sometimes need some contrast (hence my new wacky shoes – check one of my recent posts).
Are you going to save your new shirt for your Novemberfest?

Perhaps because London is familiar, and NY was fascinating because it was a strange, new place to explore?

It’s weird though, where we were staying was upstate New York on the west bank of the Hudson, within an hours drive/ferry of the city and we thought nothing of going in for a day or an afternoon or an evening to sightsee, shop, go to museums or galleries or the theatre/concerts…

But when was the last time I made use of any of the above in London? I’m only an hour (less with a fast train) from the city here, and yet it doesn’t have the same draw?!!
