Sometimes when I’m writing a post about my novel, or I’m posting a short excerpt, the thought does cross my mind – I hope Helen, or Helen, when she reads this, doesn’t think it’s her, or her … ‘cos it’s not.

Did I mention someone at work discovering that I had discovering that I had a character called Beth Jordan and coming to the conclusion that I had amalgamated the names of two colleagues: Beth Johnston and Jennifer Jordan… I hadn’t of course – the character was named months before I joined the company and met these people, but still…!
