no, i met megan via livejournal and then met her in person in new york [twice!]. also, i know bára through my husband, kári. they went to school together and became friends and such. in moving here, i’ve acquired a lot of his friends out of necessity and because they’re good people. i did meet kári at college tho!

As regards your million dollar art school education … is that how you know Megan? I seem to be developing some fascinatingly odd yet wonderful degrees of separation on my friends list… ^__^

these look really great, except that it seems to me that you’re concentrating so much on the face. myself, i never drew faces in figure drawing classes – or if i did they were the last detail i added. anyway – i’m not suggesting you leave out the face entirely, but i think these drawings could be really strengthened by more attention to the figure and leaving the face a little sketchier.

i really love the detail of the feet and hands on that last drawing, btw. absolutely fantastic.
