My dad is in the business of climate change and the environment. Charles obviously thought he ought to get in contact even though me dad doesn’t particularly agree with Charlie’s particular views regarding the environment.

Lord knows why? But my dad is now on some list (not the Honours List mind, but then again I think they are quite good about finding out whether you are the kind of person likely to accept before asking… *grins*).

When the call came in about this lunch thing, my dad’s first thought was that it was someone playing some kind of practical joke. But he checked the website and the guy does exist at the phone number given!

At any rate, I hope he returns the favour and invites Liz over chez Shepherd one lunchtime for cheese on toast (with maybe some chutney chucked into the bargain, since there’d be guests)!
