There’s about 30+ in our office and there is a ‘usual’ place where cake does get laid out – usually very often for it seems to be always someone’s birthday or return from holidays or anniversary of some sort, or cars birthday or fish’s graduation – and an email gets sent out, not always but usually, by the departmental secretary.

In the past I’ve always been on the email because I’m in the department, but just recently I’ve dropped off. It doesn’t really matter because if it’s nice cake I just go up when everyone else does and take some. Hence the patheticness of the yesterday’s straw – but it would be nice to be included…
