There’s a Vanilla Ninja track I Know in which I am always convinced that the lyrics are ‘You’re a Bombay guy, you’re a sailor that’s why’ when in fact it is ‘You are one big lie – you’re a swanker that’s why’.

Anyway, don’t laugh, but I was hugely into ‘Bat out of Hell’ at the time, and wrote what I thought was the lyric on the cover of my book. My best friend hooted with laughter when she saw that I’d written ‘like the mental on the edge of the night’ rather than ‘like the metal on the edge of the knife’. I still think my version’s better 😉
