I love our shop, it’s interesting, unique, full of serendipitous finds – a browser’s paradise. There are too many memorable moments in my bookselling career but one moment in particular has stayed with me, when a customer cried with happiness when I found them the book they were looking for. I love almost everything about being a bookseller (less keen on the paperwork…..) I can’t imagine doing anything else. Well, because it’s Indie Bookshop Week I’m going to pick some of my favourite books about books: 1. The Penguin Classics Book by Henry Eliot, 2. Bookworm by Lucy Mangan, 3. The Bookshop at 10 Curzon Street ed. by John Saumarez Smith, 4. Writers: Their Lives and Works, foreword by James Naughtie, 5.
