It was a nice cycle ride though, into work, even if my tootsies were frozen upon arrival. And my tummy seems to be a little bit flatter – or am I seeing things? I probably am, when I say that it’s possible I might even be a little shapelier.

This is uncharacteristically becoming something of a Bridget Jones-esque post… :-

20080306-1258 Edit: Too right it was cold. Just heard on the weather forecast that temperatures got down to –8° last night!

15st 13lbs https://shepline.com/2008/03/03/15st-13lbs/ https://shepline.com/2008/03/03/15st-13lbs/#respond Mon, 03 Mar 2008 08:23:00 +0000 http://journal.shepline.com/15st-13lbs/ What a gorgeously sunny (if bloomin’ cold) late-winter/early-spring morning. Just before (possibly) ruining it with a hot cross bun and jam to follow my breakfast of fruit juice and cereal, I leapt on the scales, and yay! wavering around the mid to high 15s the scales settled on 15.13 – a personal best for me. 🙂

Of waistlines, shirts, and handsignals… https://shepline.com/2007/07/10/of-waistlines-shirts-and-handsignals-2/ https://shepline.com/2007/07/10/of-waistlines-shirts-and-handsignals-2/#respond Tue, 10 Jul 2007 08:45:00 +0000 http://journal.shepline.com/of-waistlines-shirts-and-handsignals-2/ Regular readers of these pages will know that I have been managing to lose a small amount of weight recently, thanks mainly to cycling (ie. an increase in exercise). I was pleased therefore, to discover today that it is not just the lbs that I have been shifting. I now have incontrovertible proof that I am also seeing a retreat of my tummy.

This morning I was able to put on again, for the first time in a while one of my favourite shirts! Yay! Yay! And thrice yay!! 🙂

I’m glad I’m cycling again. It’s fun. I am amazed though, at just how unaware most drivers are to what simple signals mean. Wouldn’t you have thought that if you see someone cycling along with their right arm outstretched at full stretch then that would mean that said cyclist would like to turn right? Sadly it seems not.
