She’s been really missing me. By the time I had driven back home she had decided to come and see me this evening. I did a little bit of cleaning until she arrived and then we went out for fish’n’chips, coming back to eat it whilst watching Sports Relief and doing things on our computers. One of these days, every night is going to be like this, and we won’t have to be parted.

It was one of the most special of surprises I think I have ever had. I knew already that I would arrive home on Friday to find her already ‘home’ (that’s why I lent her one of my spare keys), so its all a bit naughty and scurrilous behaviour to spring that on me a four days earlier. A very nice surprise though! 🙂

It felt very right to come home from work to be greeted by my girlfriend and to talk about our days in the same room. It was also a curiously natural feeling to say goodbye to Emma as I loaded my bike onto to back of the car to go to work. I look forward to the day when this sort of thing might become the norm…
