I was rudely woken fully awake this morning, by the most dreadful squeaking/chirping noise as I was taking a shower. Bella had brought a friend into the house to play and I don’t think that the little bird was in a mood to be playful. By the time I got downstairs, the poor bird was still very much alive, but injured, and when I tried to remove it from house, it was able to hop under the hifi unit and disappear.

I pulled out the unit and had a grovel on the floor with a torch but to no avail. Bella had a good look too, but she couldn’t find it either. I can only image that it has hopped up behind the storage heater somehow.

I am somewhat fearing what I may find (or smell) when I get home this evening.
