If it wasn’t for ‘The Summit’ being scheduled for 1245 hours, I would have called it ‘Parents Evening’ but my pedantry forbids it. Both Emma and I were agreed that by comparison, both me meeting her parents and her meeting mine, has been a breeze. The venue was The Wherry The Ferry at Cookham, was nice, if a little on the noisy side, but in all other respects it went well, and further proved to both of us that the more you fear something and feel nervous about a situation, the more you enjoy it.†
