It’s the great thing about havig a day off, and the day in question being a Monday. It ceases to be a day to be feared and to be dreaded because it is a glorious extension the weekend. Sunday too, surpasses itself, when it is free from also being a *school night*. And what of Tuesdays? One might suppose that they take on the roll that Monday’s have left off… Not so, It’s Tuesday, one is already on the brink of Wednesday, and that is half-way point of the week…

oh lucky!!!!!!! humph
As I wrote this post, there was this nagging feeling, that it wouldn’t be the most tactful thing to say to people who hadn’t had Monday’s off, but it seemed to work, so I posted it anyway. I’m sorry…
Last night (on Watchdog, I think) they showed a clip of ‘That’s Life’ and I was immediately plunged into melancholy. I’ve realised that programme is now, for me, forever associated with the Sunday night dread of school the next morning. ‘That’s Life’ was invariably the last thing I saw on a Sunday night before going to bed; watching Esther & Co even now makes me feel indescribibly sad.
(No slacking with the writing, now!)
I only ever saw a few *complete* episodes of That’s Life towards the end of its run (I think I was at uni at the time) – it was never one of *those* programmes that we watched in our house – a bit like a friend of mine who was forbidden to watch *The ITV*…
…I’ve done a 1000 words over the last two days! Hrmm, I wonder how much this has been fueled by taking of the Hot *Vana Tallinn* Chocolate? And once again, the curiousities of LiveJournal surprise oneself – I was sure I’d get more comments to my last post… 🙁
It might be timing, partly – I’m much more likely to comment on something that comes in during the morning or day. Anything that comes in late evening I’m usually too busy to respond, and 9 times out of 10 don’t remember to do so in the morning :-/ One advantage of having a mixed British/American/Australian list is that posts do come in spread out over the day, although there’s usually a flurry around 6-7 where I sometimes struggle to keep up…
He he! Yes, you can tell when people start work, because you’ll get a flurry of comments from a person to various posts. Like me, I start work at 8, and I don’t seem to be alone in checking LiveJournal as one of the first things I do.
It’s a bit naughty I suppose… (but hey, I don’t take cigarette breaks!)
Very often there will be a posting flurry between 4 and 5 in the afternoon – I’ll check lj maybe before I leave, but by the time I’ve driven home and logged on again, there will be half a dozen posts or more to read ^__^
