I’ve done French, Italian, local seafood, intimate wine bar … so tonight I thought I’d give Edinburgh’s take on Indian cuisine a try. And so after a swift half and a page or so of writing in the The Royal Mile on the Royal Mile I headed down off South Bridge to Suruchi’s on Nicolson Street (if you are trying to find it, look out for the hard-to-spot-easy-to-miss doorway right opposite the unmisable Festival Theatre.

Tonight’s menu consisted of spicy vegetable haggis, followed by salmon currey, rounded off by the afore-mentioned (and delicious) pistachio and cardamon ice cream, and a coffee. You should go there just for the treat of reading the pseudo-Scottish menu!
