It’s become an annual event for us – a magical way of bringing forth the festive season. Salisbury is an attractive city on the most ordinary of days; at Christmas it shines supreme with modest, yet beautiful twinkling white lights and wreaths of green. And such is the setting of the cathedral, and of its candlelit carol service. With girl and boy choirs it is a true procession and involves the entire length of the cathedral, and the lifesize paper-mache crib at the centre of it all.
It is beautiful, and enchanting, and the true moment of the beginning of Christmas…

How wonderful that must be.
Love the photos 🙂
(Notice how the blue of the king’s costume is reflected in the cobalt glass behind him)
Of course. It’s all in the composition… *grins*
