The Old Sparrow’s Nest

I see that the Sparrow’s Nest Theatre has now been demolished… 🙁

…so no triumphal homecoming concert The Darkness there then.

Interestingly, The Lowestoft Players used to rehearse (they probably still do) in a little yellow corrugated iron hut just down the road from my house. The building was on some kind of suspended floor, and often you yould take the dog up the lane last thing at night to the sounds of foot stomping echoing across the neighbourhood. If they got too exhuberant, then sometimes you could hear them during the quiet bits of a tv programme whilst you were sat in the lounge! *grins*
