This afternoon, I made the trek down to Wallingford to play in one of Abingdon Concert Band’s summer ‘gigs’. Today was an event organised by the local Brownie troop (is that what they are called?) to play in the castle grounds/gardens (didn’t know that Wallingford had a castle until today?). The grounds was certainly a fantastic venue, and the tea tent had some good tea on offer along with a fine spread of cakes and a raffle, but blimey was it cold for playing…

A couple of times, the leaden grey clouds threatened rain, but none came … it’s just a shame that the sun couldn’t find it within itself to come out for just a little bit…
