After the last two week’s of Doctor Who brilliance, and in particular the ‘truly-behind-the-sofa-mastery’ of Stephen Moffatt’s Blink episode, I feel let down by this week’s Doctor Who. John Simm is not a patch of Derek Jacobi in his role as The Master, and the episode was just too slick and ‘whizz-bang’ for my liking.
I am fast coming to the conclusion that Russell T. Davies should stay in his Exec Producer’s chair and leave the writing to the like’s of Stephen Moffatt. :-
