Okay, I’ve just got off the phone from (another tedious) TalkTalk. Turns out that they weren’t aware that my line was now activated – as far as they were aware I still needed an engineer to call on Friday. The number is my number though, and the line is my line and they were pleased to know about it. What it does also mean is that as no engineer was required, I won’t be needing to pay the one hundred and something odd quid connection fee. 🙂

Now I have to just wait three week’s for my broadband and answerphone to be activated…
