My colleague in Science Division spent close to an hour long personal phone call. I say colleague, but with this insensitivity a daily occurrence I feel that I am the only one working on online production for science journals. I have equally daily sweepstakes with neighbouring colleagues concerning how long the phone calls will last. Always the underestimate, today’s call was conducted within feet of Louise, my new mamager, who had come round to sit next to me and have a ‘walk through’ my current job.
In the past I have mentioned to higher authorities ‘Barb’s’ work ethic (she was ‘well taught’ I think, by Jon…). Today I didn’t need to say anything, as I spotted Louise’s eyes drift upwards – it was enough. Hopefully word will get back all on it’s own…
