Apparently Phillip Pullman has gone into seclusion for two years to write his new book. He is also interested in climate change. I know this because my Dad, at a climate change conference (coincidentally in Oxford) was supposed to be hearing him give an after dinner talk tomorrow night. This is no longer happening…
This concerns me a little. Phillip Pullman is writing a new book; and he is interested in climate change. These two things are probably not connected, but in any case, I better get a move on and finish my book and get it published. How annoying would it be if that Whitbread Book of the Year winning author beats me to it!!
Not that I am for one second likening myself or my writing style in any way to Phillip Pullman you understand!

Now if *that* doesn’t give you the impetus to get it done, edited, and submitted… 😀
