Considering one of the most popular things to give your loved one is flowers, Valentine’s Day really does come at a crappy time of year. I mean, honestly whoever thought of 14th February?! Yes, the snowdrop – my favourite flower – is in bloom but they don’t last long enough to make a bouquet, and there really is very little else.
If you do want a day to celebrate being loved up and together at least pick a decent time of year to hold it.
Oh, and before you ask, yes, I got my usual compliment of Valentine cards. Still, at least I wasn’t disapointed…
