Give me the child. Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the Goblin City to take back the child that you have stolen. For my will is as strong as yours, and my kingdom is as great. You have no power over me.

I’m not sure what brought Labyrinth to mind, but at some point this week, it did… Actually I do, Helen Thomson posted something facebook about having problems with a marauding goblin army and that got me remembering the David Bowie song from the film…

You remind me of the babe. What babe? The babe with the power. What power? The power of voodoo. Who do? You do. Do what? Remind me of the babe.

…and that prompted me to buy the album – £3.99 download from amazon. It turns out that Emma has never seen Labyrinth and and so tonight, after a rather bargainous meal c/o M&S Meals for Two for a tenner washed down with a scrummy Irish Coffee, we settled down to watch my dvd of it. Brilliant, jut brilliant. I love that film.

I was reminded by something that Mrs Moss said to me today, of an interview that I was set not long after joining LiveJournal nine years ago by her daughter rachel2205. It’s interesting to look back on these old posts and reflect on how my life has changed in so many ways but at the same time have retained so much of what makes me me. Particularly the answer to Question 5: optimism really does win out. 🙂

And on that note…

If you want to be interviewed, comment below, and I’ll ask you 5 questions, which you then post in your journal, whilst also asking people if they want to be interviewed. Do you see?
